Freight Truck Delivery
All carpet tile orders are shipped by freight truck. Because carpet tile is a heavy commercial flooring material, delivery is handled through freight carriers, not regular parcel delivery.
A flat freight delivery charge of $1,250 applies to each order unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
Residential Delivery
Residential deliveries are delivered by freight truck to the residential address provided by the customer. Freight delivery is typically curbside delivery only.
Residential delivery does not include carrying boxes inside the house, condo, apartment building, garage, upstairs, elevators, or any interior area.
The freight carrier will deliver the material as close to the delivery location as safely possible. In many residential areas, large trucks may not be able to enter narrow streets, driveways, gated communities, or locations with limited access.
The driver may help unload the product, but the customer is responsible for having enough help available to safely unload and move the material after delivery.
Business Delivery
Business deliveries require a commercial address with access for a freight truck. A loading dock, forklift, pallet jack, or receiving area is strongly recommended.
If the business location does not have a loading dock or receiving area, the shipment may be delivered curbside or to the driveway/entrance area only.
The driver may help unload the product, but the customer is responsible for having enough help available to safely unload and move the material.
Limited Access and Additional Charges
Additional freight charges may apply for locations that are difficult to access, including but not limited to:
Residential addresses
Apartments or condominiums
Gated communities
Construction sites
Schools, government buildings, or limited-access facilities
Locations requiring liftgate service
Inside delivery
Appointment delivery
Re-delivery
Storage fees
Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses
These additional carrier charges are not included in the standard freight delivery charge unless confirmed in writing before shipment.
Customer Responsibility at Delivery
The customer must inspect all products at the time of delivery before signing the delivery receipt.
If there is visible damage, missing material, shortage, or damaged packaging, it must be clearly noted on the freight delivery receipt before signing.
If damage or shortage is not noted at delivery, freight claims may be limited or denied by the carrier.
Unloading Responsibility
Carpet tile cartons can be heavy, and large orders may arrive on pallets. The customer is responsible for arranging sufficient help, equipment, or labor to unload and move the material safely.
Tileobay is not responsible for unloading, carrying, moving, or installing the material after delivery.
Delivery Times
Shipping times may vary depending on product availability, order size, destination, carrier schedule, and freight conditions. We will make reasonable efforts to process and ship orders as quickly as possible.
California Carpet Stewardship Assessment
Orders delivered to California may be subject to the California Carpet Stewardship Assessment. This is a required assessment for carpet and carpet tile products delivered to California and is shown separately when applicable.
This assessment is not a sales tax.
